According to L’Equipe, Chelsea and West Ham United are interested in signing Lesley Ugochukwu from Rennes in the summer transfer window.
The report in the French publication has added that despite interest from West Ham, it is their London and Premier League rivals Chelsea who have secured the services of Ugochukwu.
Chelsea and Rennes have reached an agreement over the transfer of the 19-year-old midfielder.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners will reportedly pay the French club a transfer fee of €30 million (£26 million) for the France Under-19 international.
