£3 million Nottingham Forest central defender Scott McKenna has made a final decision on his future.
Well, according to Fotomac, Scott McKenna wants to leave Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window.
The report in the Turkish news outlet has claimed that Besiktas are keen on signing McKenna.
Besiktas chairman Hasan Arat will travel to England to try to get a deal done with Forest for McKenna.
Fotomac has claimed that the 27-year-old Scotland international central defender “intends to leave” Forest in January.
McKenna is out of contract at the Premier League club at the end of the season. The defender, who cost Forest £3 million (Press & Journal) in transfer fees, is currently training away from the first team.
In my view, Nottingham Forest should sell Scott McKenna in the January transfer window. I believe that the defender himself should look for an exit.
That McKenna is not training with the Forest first team indicates that he does not have a future at the City Ground. He is 27 now and is in his prime. I believe that he could easily play for another top club.
Besiktas are a massive club, and I think that McKenna would flourish in Turkey. Fenerbahce have also been linked with the 27-year-old centre-back.
McKenna has made five appearances in the Premier League for Forest this season. The defender made 19 starts and one substitute appearance in the league for the Reds in the last campaign.
