Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly turned down an offer from Turkey for their midfielder Tanguy Ndombele according to a report from Turkey.
That’s according to Turkish journalist Ertan Süzgün who claims that Galatasaray have made an €8 million (£7 million) offer for the French midfielder, who was out on loan at Serie A champions Napoli last season
The offer, which is incredibly low considering Spurs signed Ndombele for £63 million according to Sky Sports, is reported to have been rejected by Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham side.
The midfielder has had an indifferent spell since Spurs forked out a club-record fee to bring the French midfielder from Ligue 1 giants Lyon.
It remains unclear if Ndombele is part of Spurs’ plans for the new season. The French midfielder was missing from Spurs’ pre-season team who lost 3-2 against West Ham United due to injury.
The 26-year-old midfielder made 30 appearances for Napoli last season but only scored once and Napoli didn’t pursue a permanent deal as a result of this.
Further to Galatasaray’s and reportedly Fenerbahce’s interest in the midfielder, a report from the 17th of July by Corriere Dello Sport states that Spurs value the midfielder at £21 million, as a result, the North London side would take a £42 million hit on the Frenchman.
