Marc Roca’s intentions ‘made clear’ as on-loan Leeds man wants permanent exit
Marc Roca has “made clear” his happiness at Real Betis and talks for a permanent Leeds exit could be underway earlier than expected, according to TEAMTalk.
The website reported (2 October) that the 26-year-old, currently on loan to the La Liga club, is enjoying life in Spain after taking advantage of his relegation release clause to facilitate the move.
The Spaniard moved to Elland Road for £10.6million from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022 but struggled to settle in the Premier League as Leeds faced relegation.
It feels like Roca may have seen the last of Elland Road.

However, the warmer climes of Sevilla have helped Roca return to his best. Per FBRef, he has played 6.3 90s of La Liga action this season, the fifth most of the squad. He earned crucial goal contributions to win Betis’ game against Valencia with a goal and an assist.
With 17 shot-creating actions and the third-highest passes completed in the side (307), Roca has clearly made a significant impact on Betis.
Considering Leeds’ new look under Daniel Farke and Roca’s new-found form in Spain, the Whites may consider recouping a good fee for the 26-year-old. If he continues his success for the duration of his loan, Leeds could negotiate a fee in excess of the £10.6million they sent to Munich.
Still only 26 and having had plenty of La Liga experience with Espanyol, he would remain a good asset for Betis. Most importantly, Roca does not seem interested in a return to Yorkshire, meaning cashing in seems like their best bet.
