Swansea City, a Championship team, made an attempt to speak with Chris Davies, the former assistant manager of Leicester City, regarding the head coach position that is open at the Liberty Stadium. However, Tottenham Hotspur declined.
This week, the Swans made the announcement that they had fired Michael Duff in the wake of a thrilling 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town. As a result, the Welsh team has only triumphed once in their previous eight games.
Five points above the relegation zone, they occupy the 18th spot in the Championship table at the moment. After Duff took over as manager for the departing Russell Martin, who moved to Southampton, for five months, Swansea is once again searching for a new boss.
They were rumored to have interest in Davies during the summer. Davies had left City with Brendan Rodgers in April and was without a club. Throughout his tenure at King Power Stadium, Rodgers’ coaching staff included the assistant manager.
Additionally, the two collaborated during the Northern Irishman’s 2010–2012 tenure as Swansea’s manager. Prior to moving to Leicester, Davies worked with Rodgers at Celtic and Liverpool.
