The Miami Heat have fluctuated in their first 23 games of the season. Miami turned things around by winning nine of their next ten games after beginning the season 1–5. But the Heat have lost five of their last eight games as injuries have taken a toll on this squad.
All things considered, this team is probably still a long way from being a legitimate championship contender this year. They could definitely make a splash in the postseason with their current roster. But without a deadline move, I don’t think anyone is projecting this team to go far in the playoffs.
Will the appropriate one emerge to enable the Heat to take that
what comes next? Raptors All-Star Pascal Siakam is one player who might naturally be on the team’s radar coming into the deadline.
Raptors writer Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports that there is a belief that the Heat will at least explore the possibility of pursuing Siakam if Toronto decides to trade him before the trade deadline. With each team loss, it appears more likely that the Raptors will trade Siakam, and if they do, there should be a sizable market for the All-Star forward.
