Long-term goal for Real Madrid As Kylian Mbappe’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain draws to an end, Premier League powerhouse Liverpool is now showing interest in the player.
The conversation about Kylian Mbappe’s club future is back on the table, but some reports now suggest that he might join Liverpool instead of Real Madrid.
At the end of the current season, the star player for Paris Saint-Germain’s contract with the French powerhouses will expire, and Real Madrid has long been the favorite to sign him. For almost three years, the World Cup champion has piqued the interest of the Spanish powerhouses, but a transfer has never happened.
Though the Reds are reportedly interested in Mbappe, there is talk that suggests Los Blancos are no longer in the lead to sign him. Before relocating to Paris in 2017, the 25-year-old came dangerously close to joining Anfield.
Mbappe was considering moving from Monaco to Merseyside at the time, and according to L’Equipe, he even had a two-hour private conversation about the transfer idea with Reds owner John W. Henry. According to the French publication, Henry invited Mbappe and his family to board his private jet when it was in Monaco in an attempt to win them over.
