Veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings saw his 2023 campaign come to an end prematurely after he ruptured his Achilles tendon and was officially done for the year, leaving his future with the team and in the league up in the air.
Despite coming off the devastating injury that has been known to end careers in the NFL, Cousins will still have a market when he hits NFL free agency, as many teams will likely show interest in him once he’s officially a free agent.
At this point, it seems as though a return to the Vikings is unlikely, with the team ready to move on and potentially go younger at the position while trying to find the right fit and someone who can grow with superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
Although several destinations have been named for Cousins, like the Las Vegas Raiders and Atlanta Falcons, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network believes the Denver Broncos can’t be ruled out as a potential landing spot.
“I would fully anticipate that they are looking at everything,” Pelissier said about the Broncos.
