Arne Slot has offered a fresh update on when he could officially be appointed Liverpool manager, admitting he is likely entering his ‘last week’ with Feyenoord.
Jurgen Klopp will leave the Reds this summer, and Liverpool have already agreed a deal with the Eredivisie club for Slot to succeed the German at Anfield. However, his appointment is yet to be officially confirmed.
The Dutchman has previously insisted his appointment will be finalised soon rather than later, and has not been confirmed at the process dragging out
Liverpool and Feyenoord’s respective campaigns both come to an end on May 19, with the Dutch club’s second-place finish in the Eredivisie already confirmed. Meanwhile, the Reds have qualified for next season’s Champions League and clinched a top-three finish, though they still mathematically remain in Premier League title contention.
