The England Under-21 defender has Champions League experience
Aberdeen could make a second raid on Liverpool by launching a move for young defender Rhys Williams.
The Dons have already signed ex-Reds teammate Leighton Clarkson on a four-year deal following the playmaker’s successful loan stint at Pittodrie last term. And the Scottish Sun claims Barry Robson is now plotting a deal for England Under-21 defender Williams, having kept tabs on the youngster last season.
Williams, 22, spent the first half of the campaign on loan with Blackpool – racking up 17 Championship appearances – before returning to Anfield in January. He was named on the bench for the last 16 Champions League away defeat to Real Madrid and was part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team training.

However, it’s said the highly-rated stopper has been told he can leave Liverpool this summer if the right offers comes in. Aberdeen have built strong relations with the Premier League giants in recent years following the transfers of Calvin Ramsay and Clarkson.
