And Derek Jeter admitted to Alonso on the MLB on FOX post-game show that he pointed to the first baseman as the player who needed to step up.

It just so happened that on Friday’s “MLB on FOX” pregame show, New York Yankees legend called out the Mets first baseman, even if he didn’t name him directly.
“The story of this series is the Mets’ inability to score,” Jeter said as FOX put up a graphic of the top three stars on each team. “The discrepancy right here is unbelievable. You’re talking about five home runs, 16 RBIs for (Mookie) Betts, (Shoehei) Ohtani and (Max) Muncy and (Francisco) Lindor, Alonso and (Brandon) Nimmo have gone deep once with two RBIs.
