The -31 year-old Italian shot stopper is ready to become the Biancocelesti’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window, following Valentin Castellanos, Daichi Kamada, Gustav Isaksen, Luca Pellegrini and Nicolo Rovella.
Lazio sold Luis Maximiano to Almeria earlier this month and have been working on finding his replacement, even negotiating with Hugo Lloris before eventually focusing their efforts on Sepe.
As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Sepe arrived at the Paideia clinic in Rome this morning to carry out his medicals with Lazio. Once everything has been completed, he’ll sign his contract before joining the squad for the afternoon training session.
The 32-year-old is joining on a season-long loan deal with no permanence clause attached, giving some cover to number one Ivan Provedel. Salernitana will also contribute to part of his wages, which cost a little over €1m net per season.
