The fact that he chose to do a shorter agreement this time around is not an indication that Hernandez is thinking this will be his last contract. The feeling is that Hernandez wants to be in the SNY booth for the long haul.
Hernandez is expected to make $800,000 to $850,000 for the 110 games he calls during the season, according to sources. So the overall deal may end up being closer to $2.5 million.
