The Miami Heat traded Terry Rozier for Kyle Lowry, causing a significant midseason roster change. They may not have enough offensive pop from Rozier, who is younger than Lowry. Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report suggested a trade that would add Kyle Kuzma to the Heat, if they aren’t done trading.
In a story published on January 26, Buckley suggested the following trade involving the Heat and the Washington Wizards.
Buckley outlined the reasons the Heat would desire to have Kuzma join them.
“Kuzma would give them an additional scoring option because he can make shots on his own or locate them for other players. Although his three-ball is a little inconsistent, he can hit at a volume that is about league average. When he is a member of winning teams, he provides a respectable degree of defensive versatility.”
Over the years, Kuzma has developed into a wing scorer and assisted the Los Angeles Lakers in winning the 2020 NBA Championship. Kuzma is shooting 33.8% from three-point range and 45.7% from the field to average a career-high 21.8 points per game.
With an 8-37 record, the Wizards have begun their rebuild. They might try to get a better deal than what the Heat would give them here if they make Kuzma available.
Report: Wizards “Reticent” With Kyle Kuzma
Given that their season isn’t going away, the Wizards should trade Kyle Kuzma. But they’re not hurrying any trades right now. On January 23, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN revealed on his podcast that the Wizards haven’t demonstrated much interest in trading.
In his podcast, which RealGM transcribed, Wojnarowski stated, “Washington has been very reticent with Kyle Kuzma.” “They’re getting calls from people. Teams inform me that when they call, Washington does not respond to their calls. To register an offer
