The Green Bay Packers are dealing with the fallout of a terrible Monday night loss to the Giants. One thing that fans are anxiously awaiting updates on is the health status of some players including rookie receiver Dontayvion Wicks. He went out with an ankle injury and in the postgame, he didn’t offer a promising update.
According to a local reporter, Wicks said his ankle is “f***ed up” and he could miss some time. While we won’t know until tomorrow what the extent of the injury is, the first indication is that it might be a high ankle sprain. This means we might have seen the last of Wicks on the field this season. While there are exceptions, high ankle sprains usually take between four and six weeks to heal. This would be a massive loss for the Packers offense as Wicks has looked really good this season. Also, with Christian Watson still nursing a hamstring injury, it leaves them thin at wide receiver.
