According to an NBA insider, two potential trade targets for the Miami Heat have officially agreed upon their contracts.

Damian Lillard was not available to the Miami Heat this summer. Pat Riley tried to pry the All-Star guard from the Portland Trail Blazers for the whole summer. Lillard was ultimately dealt to the Milwaukee Bucks, though. In order to improve their squad, the Heat are therefore anticipated to be aggressive in the trade market.

Speaking on a recent episode of “The Crossover” podcast, Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated suggested that the Heat would be interested in Pascal Siakam or OG Anunoby.

Mannix stated, “I would anticipate (the Miami Heat) to be aggressive.” That might refer to a Pascal Siakam. It could indicate an original Anunoby. They wouldn’t think twice about firing that person since you could quit.

Siakam’s current deal is coming to an end this year. This summer, he’ll become an unrestricted free agent. Anunoby has a player option for the upcoming campaign, which he is most likely to reject. Given that they may lose both players for nothing at the end of the current campaign, Toronto seems unlikely to hold onto both of them.

It makes sense, then, that teams are monitoring the Raptors’ progress. An athletic forward with respectable size, length, and skill would be a nice addition to a squad like Miami’s starting lineup. Miami wouldn’t have to empty their roster in order to push a deal over the line, unlike the possible trade for Lillard.

But just because Siakam and Anunoby make

Even said, there is too much merit in Siakam or Anunoby working with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, so the whispers about a possible collaboration will probably not stop in the upcoming months. You can be sure Miami has done their research, regardless of what they decide to do. The Heat have established a reputation for making astute decisions and figuring out how to continuously be competitive when the playoffs arrive. This is a team that persevered through the play-in tournament and advanced to the NBA Finals the previous season, after all. Miami is adept at winning in the front office as well as on the court.
