SKY NEWS : Billionaire Rangers director offer $150.milion to seal targets ahead of January transfer window

John Halsted is keen to be more involved at Rangers and push the club onto the global stage, according to TEAMtalk.

The media outlet reported on November November 7 that his worth is estimated to be $3.1 billion and that that his wealth will be used to help the club achieve their targets this season.

The American investor was recently appointed as a director on the Gers board.

Money is always an issue at Ibrox, and having someone like Halsted may help the club with their problems over the coming months.

A new manager means that fresh investment is going to be required, and that could see him perhaps helping out with new signings as well.

There have been talks about the expansion of Ibrox stands, and those things certainly do not come cheap.

The fact that he wants a more hands-on role and is keen to be involved in decision-making means that he’s open to loosening the purse strings.
