After the Cowboys’ loss, Jerry Jones insists that Mike McCarthy must be replaced as soon as possible, declaring that he is done with him.
Despite the Cowboys’ devastating Sunday loss to the Bills, Jerry Jones continues to have faith in Mike McCarthy.
The Buffalo Bills easily defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-10, resulting in perhaps their most disheartening defeat of the year. Even though they had lost to the 49ers and Arizona Cardinals in the early part of the season, this loss was especially demoralizing because the Cowboys had grown so strong.
The Cowboys were attempting to establish themselves as one of the NFL’s top teams after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles the previous week to increase their winning streak to five games. But the Cowboys returned to Earth as a result of the loss. Dallas was outplayed in every aspect of the game, making it difficult to regard them as a top team this late in the season and just before the playoffs.
Even so, following the defeat, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had nothing but high regard for head coach Mike McCarthy and his staff. In an interview with 105.3 The Fan, Jones shared what he told his team after the Bills victory.
Jones stated, “Well, he’s coached three playoff teams in a row.” “I believe he did a fantastic job. He is in a better position than he was as the walk-around coach, in my opinion, now that he serves as both your offensive coordinator and head coach. Those are all all good things. “You got us in this spot to be as disappointed as we are about the Buffalo deal and our loss there,” I told the staff quite bluntly yesterday
It’s your fault because you guys have worked so hard this season to raise our team’s standards to a level that we, as fans, feel is appropriate. You forced us to come to this point where, if we play well over the next three weeks, we have a real chance of making history. Now that you guys didn’t live up to that standard up there, you guys let us down here on Monday, but congrats,” said NBC Sports.
