After the deal’s agreement Bill Simmons claims the Los Angeles Lakers-Bulls trade is going to be “a major disaster.

Bill Simmons of The Ringer and Justin Termine of Sirius/XM NBA Radio recently spoke on their podcast about a few trades that Simmons liked and hated for your Los Angeles Lakers, the notorious Boston Celtics fan’s least favorite team. Simmons disclosed during their talk—which is definitely worth listening to in its entirety—that he detests the notion of a Zach LaVine trade, but he thinks ex-2020 champion Alex Caruso, a Chicago Bulls guard, would be a good fit for Los Angeles. Simmons conceded, “You know they’re going to make a big trade.” They have a lot of pieces; they still have a pick, they have some contracts they can put together, and they have a couple rookies that I think people like. In case it’s Zach LaVine his trade value throughout the league has only been further undermined by his time spent on the bench. His asking price is still his asking price, and it’s not clear that Rob Pelinka and company are willing to pay that much for a player who doesn’t play defense and might not help your team score more points.
