AGREED DEAL : Leeds United Agreed new terms with Bayer Leverkusen midfielder and sign contract deal

Leeds United have negotiated a lucrative four-year contract as they aim to secure the services of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nadiem Amiri, according to Bild.

The German media outlet reported on Monday (28 August) that the 26-year-old has flown to Leeds as he’s now open to a move to Elland Road.

Should the deal go through, Leeds will have to pay Bayer a £5.15million fee to complete the transfer.

No more hold-ups?

If there’s been a negotiation on his contract and it’s lucrative there is no reason for this deal to not go through.

The Whites will be paying the transfer fee and any hold-up was on the player’s end and not on Bayer’s end.

The German club seem happy to let go of the midfielder for the right price and it was him being unsure about where his future lied, which is what saw there being so many delays

Leeds United

It’s clear that Leeds are looking for one or two central midfielders this summer and signing someone like Amiri despite being in the Championship is impressive.

He’s a full Germany international – a country that’s got a number of world class players – and will be one of the best midfielders in the second tier.

Daniel Farke surely will have played a part in convincing him to join if he does end up moving to Elland Road
