Ajax have confirmed the signing of free agent forward Bertrand Traoré for a second spell at the club.
The Burkina Faso international enjoyed a successful loan spell in Amsterdam from Chelsea in 2016/17, where he scored 13 times and was part of the team which reached the Europa League final.
After leaving Villarreal this summer upon the expiration of his contract, he has signed for Ajax as a free agent, penning a two-year deal in the Dutch capital.
Following his previous spell at Ajax, Traoré enjoyed spells with Lyon, Aston Villa and Istanbul Başakşehir.
Ajax and Remko Pasveer have reached an agreement on the extension of his contract that ran until June 30, 2024. The goalkeeper’s contract has been extended by one year until June 30, 2025.
