This season, Anthony Davis may be enjoying the best season of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite having a somewhat lower scoring average than the previous campaign, he is still averaging 24.8 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.5 blocked shots per game.
Compared to previous seasons, he has become a better free throw shooter, and this season he has only missed four games due to injury.
He took the lead on Sunday against a diminished Minnesota Timberwolves squad that was without Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns. In a 120-109 victory, he grabbed 25 rebounds, scored 27 points, had five assists, three blocked shots, and seven steals.
With at least 25 points, 25 rebounds, five assists, and five steals in one game, he became the first player in NBA history to accomplish that feat.
