Mings red card verdict
Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher believes Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings should have been sent off during the Villans’ 1-1 draw against Liverpool.
Unai Emery’s team led 1-0 thanks to a goal from Jacob Ramsey as they looked to become just the second team in 42 Premier League matches to beat Jurgen Klopp’s side at Anfield.
But Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino in his last home match scored late on to frustrate Villa who still remain on course to qualify for at least the UEFA Conference League next season if they hold onto seventh.

Who is he?
A 47-year-old who was most recently at Villarreal CF as a coaching staff member and senior scout. Villa also brought Emery from Villarreal CF last October. He spent three years at Villarreal having joined them from Valencia. However he knows Emery from their playing days at Ferrol back in 2000.
