It has forced PSG to axe Mbappe from their pre-season tour and officially transfer-list him for this summer. And enquiries have been flowing in for the Frenchman, with Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal offering a world-record €300 million fee to sign him.
Despite that, Real Madrid have been tipped as his likeliest destination, be it this summer or the next.
However, now, Barcelona are also set to enter the equation as per the aforementioned report. The Blaugrana are interested in Mbappe and would be willing to put the names of several players on the table as they do not have the money to sign him in an outright cash deal.

A telephonic meeting is set to take place between the two clubs later today to discuss the situation of Mbappe.
A player of Mbappe’s level and quality does not come up on the market regularly and it is an opportunity that the Blaugrana wish to try and capitalise on. However, given the financial situation at the club, any chances of a transfer look very bleak at best.
Irrespective of that, though, it appears that they will hold a dialogue with PSG to discuss the operation and would be willing to offer other players as part of the deal.
