Daniel Farke has made one change to his Leeds United line-up to take on Millwall at The Den this afternoon. The Whites are looking for just their second win of the Championship season and they know a win would be enough to take them into the top half of the table.
The head coach welcomes Sam Byram back into his starting XI after seeing the full-back overcome a groin injury over the international break. Byram starts at left-back with Jamie Shackleton moving to the bench, despite catching the eye against Sheffield Wednesday last time out.
Farke has stuck with the midfield partnership of Ethan Ampadu and Archie Gray, despite Glen Kamara and Ilia Gruev being available. He’s also decided against making personnel changes to his front four, with Wilfried Gnonto, Crysencio Summerville, Joel Piroe and Georginio Rutter all getting the nod, in what roles remain to be seen, though.
Jaidon Anthony is included in the Whites squad for the first time and could make a debut off the bench should Farke look his way during the contest. Dan James is also fit enough to be included after missing Leeds’ last two league games through injury.
Leeds United: Illan Meslier; Luke Ayling, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Sam Byram; Archie Gray, Ethan Ampadu; Crysencio Summerville, Joel Piroe, Wilfried Gnonto; Georginio Rutter.
