BBC Confirmed: Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp Amend Mohamed Salah weekly over Saudi mega bid

With the transfer window in Saudi Arabia open until September 7, Liverpool aren’t out of the woods when it comes to the future of Mohamed Salah.

Recent reports have linked Saudi side Al-Ittihad with a blockbuster £200m bid for the Reds frontman.

As well as the mammoth transfer fee, the club are reportedly willing to offer the player a three-year contract worth around £65m per year.

Liverpool remain adamant that the 31-year-old is not for sale, with manager Jurgen Klopp admitting he is happy with Salah’s professionalism despite the ongoing transfer saga.

The German coach told newspaper journalists: “Mo is super committed, really in training fully there.

“And in the leadership meetings this week he was fully in. I have to deal with facts, and my fact is, all good, we are here, and everything is fine.”

Salah currently earns in the region of £18m per season with the Reds and has two years remaining on his current deal.

With a few days remaining in the Saudi transfer window, Liverpool may need to brace themselves for another big push.

Considering the difference in salary, a move away from Anfield may appear tempting for the Egypt international.

The current manager at Al-Ittihad is ex-Wolves and Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

The squad at the club consists of such names as N’Golo Kante, Fabinho and Karim Benzema.
