BBC NEWS: Chris Cohen is astounded by the effect of the ‘excellent’ Nottingham Forest player………….

For finding Murillo this summer, Chris Cohen has praised the Nottingham Forest recruitment team. The Reds player who made more than 300 appearances for them has been completely outclassed by the central defense.

Cohen was summarising  for BBC Radio Nottingham on the recent 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace. After that particular game, he was quizzed on the impact that Murillo has had on the team so far.

Against Palace, the defender played superbly. Sam Johnstone saved his rampaging run-and-shoot attempt, but he came close to scoring. He also came close to assisting Morgan Gibbs-White with a pinpoint diagonal pass.

After the most recent Forest match, Cohen praises Murillo.

The Brazilian defender has had a spectacular impact. Many assumed he was signed as a player for the future, so it’s interesting how quickly Steve Cooper threw him into his team.

He has displayed strong teammate qualities in both games. He will only get better as he gets older, and by signing him before other clubs, Forest appears to have struck gold.

Cohen expressed his astonishment to BBC Radio Nottingham, saying, “Yeah, what a find. I saw the game against Brentford, and although he is only 21 years old and doesn’t appear to have played in many games, he was outstanding. In terms of defense, he was excellent against Palace. He was victorious in every aerial fight, appeared swift on the ground, and could hold his own against a single opponent.

“We talk about left-footed defenders and defenders who can spray passes everywhere, but the pass for Gibbs-White is just an incredible weapon to have in the Premier League,” the author said. The other defenders on the team most likely don’t possess it.
