Martavis Bryant, a wide receiver, was added to the practice squad by the Dallas Cowboys. Bryant was been given permission by the NFL to rejoin and resume playing football. He didn’t participate in an NFL game in 2018–19.
The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Martavis Bryant in the 4th round, 118th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was the 19th receiver taken. He signed a 4-year, $2,659,220 rookie contract with a $439,220 signing bonus and $439,220 guaranteed.
Bryant sustained an AC joint injury in the final preseason game, which caused him to miss the first six games of his rookie campaign. Bryant continued to play for the remainder of the season, making three starts and hauling in 26 passes for 549 yards and eight touchdowns. In the playoffs, he also had five receptions for 61 yards and one touchdown.
Bryant’s violation of the league’s substance abuse policy resulted in a four-game suspension. A knee ailment kept him out of action in Week 5. He came back in Week 6. Upon the season’s end, he had six receiving touchdowns and 50 receptions for 765 yards. In two playoff games, he also had 14 receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown.
The NFL conditionally reinstated Bryant on April 25, 2017, allowing him to play during the 2017 season. After being frustrated with his role on the offense, Bryant demanded a trade. Mike Tomlin refused to trade him, and Bryant was inactive for their game against the Detroit Lions. Bryant returned to the starting lineup next week and played the rest of the season, recording 50 receptions for 603 yards and three touchdowns. He also had two receptions for 78 yards and one touchdown in one playoff game.

On April 26, 2018, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded Martavis Bryant to the Oakland Raiders for a 2018 third-round selection.
Due to the possibility of a year-long ban for breaking the league’s off-season drug policy, Bryant was cut by the Raiders on September 1. Two weeks later, the Raiders signed him again. During his eight games, he caught 19 passes for 266 yards. He missed the remainder of the season after sustaining a PCL tear in his left knee in Week 11.
On December 14, 2019, Bryant was suspended indefinitely by the NFL for breaking the terms of his conditional reinstatement.
Bryant briefly played in the CFL and other minor league sports.
Toronto Argonauts, Martavis Bryant On January 25, 2021, Bryant signed a contract with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. On July 10, he was placed on suspension for not showing up for training camp. On December 23, Bryant was released after making no plays.

On April 2, 2021, he inked a contract with the Indoor Football League’s Massachusetts Pirates.
He signed a contract on February 28, 2022, with the Edmonton Elks. On May 3, they let him go before the start of training camp.
