Leeds United utility man Stuart Dallas is pushing for a long-awaited comeback from injury, but has reverted to individual training this week
Leeds’ next meeting in the Championship comes tomorrow night at home to QPR, aiming to make it two wins in a row at Elland Road.
The R’s might be sitting in bottom three in the league right now, but Daniel Farke has already stressed that Gareth Ainsworth’s side are better than their league position indicates.
It was revealed last month that Stuart Dallas had made his comeback into team training after a long recovery process, following his femoral fracture back in April
He hasn’t kicked a ball since that 4-0 defeat to Manchester City, but is edging closer to being back in contention, three managers later with Farke now in charge.
When asked for an update on the Northern Irishman, Farke revealed that there has been a minor speed bump for Dallas (via the YEP)
Just like every long-term injury, his return to team training will be a shock to the system, and it will take a lot of time for him to be back up to full speed.
It’s hard to expect him to be at the same levels he showed under Marcelo Bielsa, but to have him even in the squad is a boost for morale.
Dallas is the exact sort of person you would expect to come out of this setback on the other side, so it might not be long before we see him in a white shirt again.
