BBC News: Daniel Farke shares injury timescale for Gnonto, Spence, Firpo, and Dallas injury….

Leeds United right-back Djed Spence could be set for a return from injury much sooner than expected, with the upcoming international break his new timescale.

It wouldn’t be a Championship season for Leeds without major injury issues to navigate, and it’s incredibly frustrating that we are yet to see virtually anything of Djed Spence so far.

Having joined from Tottenham on a season-long loan just like Joe Rodon, the right-back has only made one brief cameo, coming off the bench in the 0-0 draw against Sheffield Wednesday before the September international break

It was revealed by Daniel Farke after the international break that the right-back has injured his lateral collateral ligament in his knee during training.

Further insight has since been shared by the club’s head of medicine, Rob Price, who confirmed that the injury came during training:

“Djed was really unfortunate. Last week, he’s gone into a challenge in training, his foot slipped from underneath him and he’s ruptured the lateral ligament of his knee.

“His foot slipped and it slips as he’s in a challenge, someone falls on his leg and pushes him into a level where the ligament can’t tolerate it, so it snaps, but what I would say about him, as with all the players, is already his attitude to doing what’s right and to making sure he’s going to be okay has been first class.
