After a two-day break, the LA Clippers hope to recover from a 123-107 home loss to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday by defeating your Los Angeles Lakers, according to Broderick Turner of The Los Angeles Times. Against the Clippers, the Kings had an excellent shooting night, making 40.5% of their three-pointers and 49.5% of their field goals. Tyronn Lue, the head coach of the Clippers and a previous champion with the Lakers, stated, “It’s a grind and long season… so we just got to get back mentally focused, understanding what we need to do if we want to take that next step, like I say, going into the playoffs.” “Therefore, just mentally concentrating and regaining your basketball skills on both sides to do better.”
With Paul George out, reserve wing Norman Powell—who will probably play tonight—explained on Sunday how he believed the team could recover. Powell said, “You know, [it’s] just touching up a few things,” in reference to the Clippers’ areas of improvement. “We have two days to straighten things out and resume our offensive momentum. We want to play defensively every single night. The most important thing, though, is simply being confined defensively. We committed an offence, but not too much. We have enough skill to work that out throughout the course of the games. However, we need to clear up a couple things defensively.
