Following a 3-0 victory over Millwall at The Den in one of the Championship’s most prestigious settings, Leeds United will now attempt to quiet Yorkshire rivals Hull City in their own backyard. The Tigers have had a successful start to the season and are five spots and two points ahead of Daniel Farke’s team in the early second-tier table.

Prior to the game on Wednesday night, City manager Liam Rosenior acknowledged that matches like this one are “different.”

“Leeds are a big club, and we are a big club,” he remarked. “There are

geographical bragging rights, and I participated in a couple games as a player here versus Leeds, and they are distinct.

“I can’t wait to see how my players respond to the situation, hopefully.” It’s going to be a scorching atmosphere; I can tell because of the fans.

 

 

Daniel Farke believes Joe Rodon demonstrated his ‘warrior’ spirit on Sunday as he helped Leeds United to a 3-0 win over Millwall at The Den. The Whites were put under some early pressure by Gary Rowett’s side, who went in search of a breakthrough from the kick-off and asked some serious questions of United’s backline.
