Leeds United are back in action at Elland Road for the second time in four days on Saturday, when they welcome Bristol City to West Yorkshire. Wednesday night’s 1-0 win over QPR ensured that Daniel Farke’s side quickly bounced back from last weekend’s defeat at Southampton and another three points would see them enter the latest international break on a high.
With this being Leeds’ third game in just over a week, the issue of squad rotation will likely again come to the fore. In his pre-match press conference, Farke admitted that a late decision will be made Sam Byram after the Thorp Arch product completed 90 minutes in both of Leeds’ matches this week.
Should Byram not make it, then Farke will have a decision to make at left-back, as his ersatz option there in recent weeks has been Jamie Shackleton, but a shoulder injury means he will not play against the Robins. Jaidon Anthony is another doubt there, after Farke rated his chances of featuring as 50/50 after the Bournemouth loanee rolled an ankle

Farke will also have a decision in central midfield, with the choice between Archie Gray and Glen Kamara looking to be an eternal debate this season, especially when the fixtures pile-up. The striker position is another one up for debate – although Farke’s brilliant forensic deep dive into his thought process there during Friday’s press conference means he has set his stall out on that debate.
