BBC NEWS: Leeds United transfer boost as Whites target finally become free agent…..

He’s a man who’s been linked with a move to Elland Road before, and German defender Kai Wagner’s name has once again been mentioned as a possible Leeds United target in January.

The 26-year-old was reportedly a target for the club in each of the last two transfer windows, with the latest suggestion being that the Philadelphia Union could make the move this winter following the expiration of his contract in the MLS. That’s according to The Athletic, who claim the club aren’t considering a contract extension for the left sided defender

The move would bring some creativity to the Leeds United backline, with Wagner having made nine assists on top of his three goals during an impressive season for the Pennsylvania side.
