BBC NEWS : Liverpool posted a picture of Mohamed Salah in training today, as rumours of an impending exit swirl.

Fresh reports have emerged today that Salah is ‘likely’ to leave Anfield for Al Ittihad over the next week or so.

Liverpool have always publicly stood firm that the 31-year-old is going nowhere, though. And with this in mind, the club’s official Twitter page have this afternoon posted a timely pictorial update.

With several pictures and videos released of the squad’s training this afternoon, worried supporters bombarded the account for Salah updates.

And the club admin didn’t let them down, posting a snap of Mo looking serious during a gym session. It doesn’t necessarily mean he’s staying, but it’s certainly encouraging.

At this point, it feels almost as if there are plants being put out there in a bid to unsettle Salah and Liverpool.

Because even after all the claims of huge bids arriving and medicals happening, it’s quite clearly business as usual for Mo.

If he really were agitating for a move, or it was as close as has been reported, would he really still be training with the team?

Of course that isn’t out of the question, but with a game coming up, it doesn’t feel likely.

Last weekend there were rumours flying around – from Saudi Arabia – that the game against Newcastle would be Salah’s last as a Liverpool player.

That could still happen, so we won’t speak too soon. But if the Egyptian lines up at Anfield against Aston Villa on Sunday, we’ll start to feel very confident.

Until the window closes, we can never say he’s staying for sure, though. So in the meantime, these little clues are appreciated.
