The Los Angeles Lakers are bound to be mentioned in most trade rumors this season as one of the NBA’s top contenders with multiple tradeable contracts. Zach LaVine and the array of players the Chicago Bulls could trade are two examples of how fans have already witnessed it occur.
The Lakers must choose which players to hold onto and which ones to trade for other players if the price is right in order to navigate through these waters. It might be difficult to draw that line in the sand.
We at Lake Show Life weren’t deterred by that. The Lakers could certainly afford to trade for a number of players if the price was right, but if other teams are making offers, there are also players who ought to remain untouchable.
For the purpose of clarity, we have excluded LeBron James and Anthony Davis because they are extremely evident; similarly, we have excluded players who are essentially worthless in the trade (such as Taurean Prince or Jaxson Hayes). Jarred Vanderbilt was not taken into account either because he is not physically tradeable this season.
