Cam Reddish might have some Duke basketball company while playing for the Lakers.
In July, Cam Reddish became a free agent and joined the Los Angeles Lakers. Several insiders are now claiming that the team is considering Washington Wizards guard Tyus Jones, a product of Duke basketball, in the trade market in an attempt to boost its postseason standing before the deadline of February 8.

Earlier this week, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reported that the Lakers were considering a ninth-year NBA floor general. Shams Charania of The Athletic did as well.
Then, on Wednesday night, HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto summarized why Jones could be an ideal addition in Los Angeles as the Lakers, currently No. 8 in the Western Conference with a 22-23 record, explore potential three- or even four-team trades to make a big splash:
“They are looking for a point guard, and Jones is a player they’re looking at on an expiring contract and a player who has a great assist-to-turnover ratio.”
After a stellar one-and-done season for the 2014–15 Duke basketball national champions, Tyus Jones—a former No. 24 overall draft pick—led the league in assist-to-turnover ratio for each of the previous five seasons. And with an NBA-best 7.2 this time around, he’s well on his way to defending that crown.
For the first time in his professional career, the 27-year-old NBA Blue Devil is a full-time starter for the Wizards, who have the second-worst record in the league (7-36). In 43 games, he has averaged 12.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.2 steals
