At the Atlanta Hawks game on Friday (US time), the Miami Heat retired Udonis Haslem’s number 40 jersey during halftim
Haslem spent twenty years as a player for the Heat, winning three NBA titles with the group.
In a previous statement, Heat president Pat Riley stated, “It’s about a great legacy, a Thank You moment that has been earned over 20 years of being an incredible championship player and, most importantly, the best leader.”
“He’s going to have his day and I can’t wait to see his jersey hang in the rafters.”
The retired jersey numbers of Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Tim Hardaway, Shaquille O’Neal, and Alonzo Mourning are joined by Haslem’s number forty.
