The 36-year-old starting point guard has agreed to a two-year, $21 million contract extension with the Wolves, according to a report published on Monday by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. This summer, Conley was scheduled to enter the free agent pool. With this move, the starting lineup for the upcoming season is set.
Conley Jr. is a dependable veteran presence for the Wolves, who lead the Western Conference at the moment in this season.
Conley’s first full season with the Wolves was this one. According to the NBA, he has shot slightly over 44% overall and on three-pointers, averaging 10.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 6.4 assists.
With the acquisition of Monte Morris from the Detroit Pistons, the team recently increased the depth at point guard.
