The Salernitana president has decided to make a guarantee worth more than €17 million in exchange for Serhou Guirassy’s possible signing. They’ve now come to agreements.
Guirassy, who has 17 goals in 14 Bundesliga games and is the second-top scorer in Europe’s “top five” leagues—Harry Kane has scored more goals—remains a target for salernitana, according to Luca Cilli’s live report on Sky (via salernitana News).
In his current contract, the striker has a release clause worth approximately €17 million. In the coming days, salernitana and the German team will hold new negotiations, and Milan has stated that they are willing to pay more than €17 million.
Nevertheless, they would only make a larger payment if they were able to pay the entire amount in installments, which is not feasible given the release clause, which typically requires payment in full at once.
Even if an agreement with Stuttgart is reached, the player will still need to be persuaded because he has significant financial demands and has to consent to leaving the team in the middle of a successful season.
We should hear more in the coming days after Milan got in touch with the Bundesliga team about the possible transfer fee.
