BBC NEWS: The Vikings’ 18th-ranked status is too high for the Bobcats.

On Wednesday, January 24, the Peru State women’s basketball team suffered a 76-55 loss at #18 Grand View. As of right now, the Bobcats are 9-12 overall and 6-11 in the Heart of America Conference.

The Bobcats started the game slowly but were able to settle into a rhythm in the second quarter. For the Bobcats, Maddy Duncan opened the second quarter with a huge 3-pointer from beyond the arc. For the Bobcats,

had a huge quarter, scoring ten points. Kylie Diaz pulled down four rebounds in the half, while Samantha Stewart scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds. At the half, the Bobcats trailed 44–25.

Samantha Stewart made two layups in a row to give the Bobcats a great start to the second half. The Bobcats held their own against the potent offensive attack of the Vikings. With six points in the fourth quarter, Hailey Ingram had a great game. Olivia Williams scored six points and Samantha Stewart eight in the second half. The Bobcats were defeated by the ranked Vikings, 76-55.

For the Bobcats, Samantha Stewart finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Hailey Ingram finished with nine points and three rebounds, while Kaylan Larry scored ten points and pulled down five rebounds. Olivia Williams finished with six points and five rebounds, and Maddy Duncan finished with six points. For the Bobcats, Kylie Diaz finished with three points and six rebounds.
