Leeds United winger Jaidon Anthony is touch-and-go for the home meeting with Bristol City, after rolling his ankle this week, confirmed by Daniel Farke.
Daniel Farke’s side are at home against this weekend against another side they are fancied to beat as they aim for more consistency in the way of results in the Championship.
Bristol City are the Whites’ opponents tomorrow, with Farke hoping for another commanding performances, but has injuries to contend with.
Jaidon Anthony was one of Leeds’ better players in the win over QPR, providing a constant outlet on the left wing, posing a significant threat in his first start.
However, it has been confirmed by Farke that the winger has suffered from a rolled ankle during the game too, as he was brought off in the second half.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, he had this to say (via the YEP):
“Jaidon Anthony has a knock, [he is] 50-50. Yesterday he rolled his ankle, today he is much improved.”
Farke revealed the player will be assessed as we head towards kick-off tomorrow, seemingly undecided on whether he will be fit enough to play.
Anthony was a real livewire in and out of possession against QPR, and this injury is frustrating for him as he looks to build momentum.
Back-to-back starts would have been great for his confidence and momentum, but sometimes bad luck strikes.
Thankfully we have strong depth so that Anthony missing or even starting on the bench for a game isn’t the end of the world.
