Leeds united correspondent Alasdair Gold has shared an update on various players the club loaned out this season, including Joe Rodon, Japhet Tanganga, and Alfie Devine.

In a summer of great upheaval for Spurs, seven new faces arrived through the door at the North London club. With so many new signings, there had to be some outgoings to balance the books and keep the squad from becoming bloated.

Some fans have been disappointed with the club’s inability to sell fringe players this summer, with Harry Winks and Davinson Sanchez the only two peripheral squad players who left the club permanently during the transfer window.

However, plenty of players did leave the club on loan this summer. Youngsters like Alfie Devine, Dane Scarlett, and Troy Parrott all secured moves to ensure they play more first-team football this year, while more experienced heads such as Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga moved on, too.

In his regular piece for Football.London, Alasdair Gold had plenty to say about all those players and more.

Gold claims Joe Rodon is “earning plenty of plaudits” at Leeds United so far this season and was given special “praise for his role in keeping a clean sheet” at the weekend. His teammate, Djed Spence, is now out of action for eight weeks with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, over in Turkey, Tanguy Ndombele came off the bench for Galatasaray and played 15 minutes in a 4-2 win over Samsunspor.

Despite not doing anything of particular note in that appearance, it is said that Ndombele will now be “looking to play a part” in his new side’s opening Champions League game this week.

In the Premier League, Sergio Reguilon made his debut for Manchester United and played 85 minutes of the defeat to Brighton. The Spaniard will be hoping for a better result next time out.

As for Tanganga, he is yet to recover from a knee injury and has not featured for Augsburg so far this season. That injury will not be helped by a reported accident at the training ground where the defender fell off a bicycle.
