Following Xisco Munoz’s dismissal, former Leeds United manager Daniel farke is allegedly interested in taking over as manager of Sheffield Wednesday.

Following a dismal start to the season in which the Owls had collected just two points from their first 10 games, the Whites’ Championship rivals announced on Wednesday night that they had decided to part ways with the former Watford manager.

TalkSPORT reporter and Sheffield Star columnist Alan Biggs reports Warnock is attracted to the Hillsborough vacancy, despite his previous connection with the Owls’ city rivals Sheffield United.

Warnock left Huddersfield Town last month when the Terriers decided to hire Darren Moore for a longer period of time. Warnock did, however, previously say he’d be open to taking on another managing position.

After leaving Huddersfield, he declared, “My health is terrific, I’ve never felt better! In fact, I’m buzzing once more. When February rolls around, I’m sure people will question me once more.

Between February 2012 and April 2013, a little more than 13 months, the 74-year-old manager of Leeds managed 63 games, winning 23 and losing 25.

Warnock previously revealed he almost took over at Hillsborough during Milan Mandaric’s tenure as owner.

In 2021, he stated to the Yorkshire Post, “I almost took over there a few years ago. On Friday night, Milan Mandaric offered me the position, and I responded, “Listen, Milan, you have the weekend to think about.”

“‘Find out what your chief executive officer and one or two others think about it. Get your thoughts published in the media, and if you still need me the following week, I’ll start on Monday.
