Leeds United are finally free from the control of former chairman and owner Andrea Radrizzani.
The Whites submitted Radrizzani’s termination of employment document to Companies House earlier this week to make his exit official.
However, Radrizzani still had significant control in Elland Road Ltd, which owns Leeds’ famous stadium and made a profit of about £1.5million in 2021-22.
The most recent accounts, highlighted by finance expert Kieran Maguire (10 October), showed the company charged £1.7m a year in rent to Leeds.
But the Yorkshire Evening Post reported on Friday (20 October) the Italian is no longer a person with significant control in Elland Road Ltd.

The lease was not due to expire until 2032, so it is likely that new backers 49ers Enterprises paid off the former Leeds chief.
John Edward York and Paraag Marathe, who are connected to 49ers Enterprises, have effectively taken over from Radrizzani.
It means that after many months, the drawn-out takeover process is now at an end and a line can be drawn under the whole saga.
49ers Enterprises already have their feet under the table at Elland Road, but they can now operate knowing no money is going to Radrizzani.
If it was not already known beforehand, Leeds are now very much in a new era.
