Daniel Farke has more than a few choices to make when he decides on his Leeds United XI to face Southampton on Saturday lunchtime – but how would your side look
Daniel Farke has confirmed that Leeds United have no fresh injury worries ahead of Saturday’s lunchtime clash against Southampton at St Mary’s. Leeds head to the south coast on the back of last weekend’s 3-0 win over Watford in what was their best display of the season.
After a bumpy start to the season which was compounded by a lengthy injury list, Farke will only be without Junior Firpo, Djed Spence Stuart Dallas and Wilfried Gnonto against the out-of-sorts Saints, with Patrick Bamford expected to travel with the squad as he steps up his return from injury.
Farke will also be boosted by the return of Tottenham loanee Joe Rodon, who is available again after he served a one-match suspension against the Hornets. Skipper Liam Cooper was drafted in at the weekend and helped the Whites claim a fourth consecutive clean sheet.
Farke also made a change in the middle last time out, with Archie Gray rested in place of Glen Kamara, who duly impressed on his full Leeds debut. Gnonto’s bsence makes picking the front line slightly easier, with the likes of Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter and Crysenscio Summerville all impressing recently, while Dan James and Jaidon Anthony have both made key contributions after coming of the bench of late.
