BBC Update: Leeds United terminate replacement deal as their superstar has not picked injury in training

Uncategorized

All indications were that the deal was in the final stages but there was fear that it could be brought to an end today as the player limped out of training.

A report from Germany detailed how Tanaka had limped out of training after a ‘horror’ clash with teammate Felix Klaus, picking up an injury in his knee, which was quickly bandaged up amid great concern.

Any injury could have put an end to a move to Leeds but, fortunately for them, the latest update is a positive one.

The Twitter account reports that ‘after shock, chaos and worry’, the player has been given the all-clear by the club’s medical team.

Tanaka is now set to take part in team training again tomorrow, with assessments ensuring there is ‘no structural injury’ to worry about.

That should put any fears of his move to Leeds collapsing to an end, although they may want to be a bit more thorough in any medical if they are pushing to get a deal over the line.
