Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle United in battle to sign £40m-rated Goncalo Inacio according to the report.
Sporting Lisbon star Goncalo Inacio is expected to leave the club this summer with Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle United fighting for his signature.
The 21-year-old, regarded as one of the most promising young centre-halves in European football, has a release clause of €45million (£40m) and while Sporting are eager to tie him down to a new contract, a summer move is on the cards, according to AS.
Three Premier League clubs are thought to be at the top of the queue for his services with Liverpool eager to follow up on initial interest shown last summer.
The report suggests he is viewed as an ideal defensive partner for Virgil van Dijk at the back.
Newcastle are also keen on the Sporting star. The Magpies are keen to bring in another option at the back ahead of their return to the Champions League with Inacio on their list of options.
Any club wishing to price Inacio from Sporting will have to pay his entire release clause up front.
Liverpool have already wrapped up their first piece of summer business, bringing in Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton in a deal that could rise to £55m.
Arsenal are expected to announce the arrival of Kai Havertz from Chelsea this week while the club are still confident of bringing Declan Rice to the club ahead of Manchester City.
