Breaking News: Bucks finally complete Signing Cam Reddish on One-Year Contract following Agent decision….

Sources inform Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link) that the Bucks are inking free agent point guard Cameron Payne to a new one-year contract.

The 6’1″ vet out of Murray State is joining a revamped Milwaukee squad after salvaging his career with a four-year stint on the Suns.

The No. 14 pick in the 2015 lottery, Payne struggled to develop through stints with the Thunder, Bulls and Cavaliers. He really found his footing after signing on with Phoenix in 2019. Across his four seasons with the Suns as Chris Paul’s backup, Payne posted regular season averages of 9.8 PPG on .434/.384/.833 shooting splits. He also chipped in 4.2 APG, 2.6 RPG and 0.7 SPG.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green said he expects to be out 4-to-6 weeks due to an ankle injury, per Jason Dumas of KRON 4 News. Dumas said that the injury was not a high ankle sprain. More information on Green’s status will be revealed Monday during the Warriors media day.

The 4-to-6-week timetable  Green has projected means he will miss all training camp. The 33-year-old forward could also miss the first few regular season games.

While Green’s absence is a blow to the Warriors, particularly their frontcourt depth, it does make Steve Kerr’s starting lineup decision a little easier.

There had been rumors earlier in the summer that Chris Paul wanted to start even though he is better suited to come off the bench. Plus, the Warriors already have one of the best starting lineups in basketball.
