The Whites take on Bristol City this afternoon aiming to make it back-to-back wins and three on the bounce at Elland Road in the process.
It comes after a somewhat edgy 1-0 home win against a lowly QPR side on Wednesday night, as the away side ended the game with 10 men and their main striker in goal.
Farke will be pleased that it was another game where Leeds dominated throughout, having struggled to get to grips with Southampton previously.
The midfield battle saw Leeds get the better of the R’s with Ethan Ampadu and Archie Gray dictating the play and coming out on top of Sam Field and Jack Colback, with the former getting carded in the first half and the latter brought off at half-time.
As Leeds failed to get a second goal to completely kill the match off, QPR managed to create a couple of avenues to goal, but to no avail.
Gray came in to take the place of Glen Kamara in midweek, but there could be a switch back at the weekend with the Robins up next for Leeds.
As good as Gray has been, the final stages of the game did see the midfielder start to tire, with lazy challenges creeping in, allowing the away side to gain territory, albeit to end up failing to threaten.
Managing Gray properly means he’s going to have to take rests here and there to ensure he’s at the top of his game for 90 minutes when he does start, and luckily, we have the squad to rotate, so Gray’s 12 appearances doesn’t become 50 by the end of the season and become a risk of serious injury.
Whether it be Kamara, or Ilia Gruev making his first start, Farke should be minded to consider resting Gray on the bench.
